Engage Serves is a Board Service training program geared towards young professionals. Through this six-week course participants will be provided the necessary tools to become an effective board member from day one in a board seat. We are proud to offer this professional development training as an added benefit of membership in ENGAGE. For non-members the course is offered at a cost of $50.00.
The 6-week program is held at ACT Environmental & Infrastructure Training Center on Hwy. 60 in Bartow on Tuesday evenings from 5:00-7:00 p.m. A light meal is provided at no additional cost.
Over the span of the classes, the fundamentals of effective board service are taught by some of Bartow’s own “seasoned” community leaders.
Attendance to every class is required in order to graduate from the program. Participants will be asked to list their areas of interests in order to place you in contact with local organizations seeking quality board members.
ENGAGE’s motto is Educate, Collaborate, and Serve and is a collaborative effort of the Greater Bartow Chamber of Commerce and CPS Group CPAs, PA.
Applications are available online here. At the end of the application period, you will be notified via email if your application has been accepted. Class size is limited.
