Polk Politics Political Rally and Candidate Forum is held by the Greater Bartow Chamber of Commerce in election years to provide the community the opportunity to for those in attendance to get up-front and personal with candidates for office before the primary election.
Each participating candidate will be given the opportunity to introduce themselves on stage (for three minutes) and will have a table to meet and greet the community.

The Greater Bartow Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with A-C-T Environmental and Infrastructure, is pleased to extend an invitation to all candidates for an upcoming event aimed at providing a platform for you to articulate your vision and plans for enhancing the welfare of our area.
Scheduled for Thursday, August 8, 2024, the Polk Politics Candidates Rally will take place at the Bartow Civic Center (2250 S. Floral Ave.), commencing at 5:00 p.m. and concluding at 8:00 p.m. This event offers a unique opportunity for you to engage directly with constituents and garner support for your candidacy.
As a participating candidate, you will be allotted three minutes on stage to present your platform to the audience. Please note that only candidates who attend in person will be permitted to take the stage. To secure your slot, there is a nominal fee of $150, which includes a six-foot skirted table for your use.
Should scheduling conflicts prevent your attendance, representatives from your campaign may occupy a table at the event for the same fee of $150. However, it’s important to emphasize that only candidates will be granted speaking privileges on stage.

We encourage all candidates to bring promotional materials such as lawn signs to showcase your candidacy to attendees. Please be advised that speeches will commence promptly at 5:30 p.m., and candidates are expected to adhere to the allocated time slot.
Throughout the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a straw vote, the results of which will be announced at 7:30 p.m. This event promises to be an invaluable forum for engaging with voters and amplifying your campaign message.
We anticipate a robust turnout of both candidates and voters, making this an indispensable occasion for your campaign.
