Bartow Chamber Board Selects Condello As Director

Bartow Chamber Director Chosen

Virginia Condello has been working with the Chamber since 2001.

CONDELLO NAMED EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF BARTOW CHAMBER

Virginia Condello has been named Executive Director for the Greater Bartow Chamber of Commerce beginning January 1, 2023.

Serving as Interim Executive Director since January, 2022, Condello previously worked as the Communications Director for the Chamber since March, 2001.

Prior to that, she was publisher of The Highland City Post for 10 years and also worked for The Frisbie Publishing Group.

“The Bartow Chamber’s mission is to promote business and economic development for the benefit of our community. Under the leadership of Jeff Clark, we have striven to do the best job we could to promote not only businesses, but also our entire City,” Condello said.

“Jeff has been a good mentor for me. His passion for Bartow showed in every promotional campaign he produced for us. His passion for the business community and economic development was evident when he and a handful of others put together the Bartow Economic Development Council.

“Over the past year, I relied heavily on guidance from the Board and especially our 2022 President, Shannon Medley; and our incoming 2023 President, Michell Githens,” she noted.

Githens said, “Virginia has led the Chamber through a significant time of transition through the pandemic and staff reorganization, and has done an exceptional job positioning the Chamber for future growth. The Board is excited to work with her as the Executive Director for our Chamber.”

Condello says she plans to follow Clark’s model, and continue to fine tune Chamber programming as Bartow’s prospective growth begins to unfold.

With the help of a “working Board of Directors,” – as she calls it – Condello plans “to better position our chamber in the community for the future.

“Now that COVID has calmed down a little, we want to look at what areas we can improve,” she said, listing membership recruitment and retention and new ways to bring more benefits to members.

And, with the help of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Condello believes 2023 is going to be a great year.
